Great question! We love ilish too, and our onboard chef cooks some of the best you’ll find here. But our focus isn’t a food festival — it’s a calm, immersive forest experience. Food is meant to complement the experience, not become the main event.
An ‘Ilish Utsav’ format changes the energy — it adds noise and heavy meals that break the quiet rhythm of the night cruise, riverside sleep, and sunrise. That’s why we don’t brand our trips as a hilsa festival.
If you’d like ilish, we’re happy to arrange seasonal hilsa specials (think shorshe/bhapa/paturi) on request — kept intimate and aligned with the experience. If a big, food-centric festival is your primary goal, a few other operators specialize in that. You may explore them.
Our promise is simple: comfort + connection. The food is excellent, but the star is the Sundarbans.
