No trip is complete without indulging in some delicious, authentic local food. So, if you ask us, we would recommend our 1-night, 2-day Sundarban travel package. We offer convenient pick-up and drop-off services from your home. On the day of your journey, we will pick you up from your place and take you to Godkhali Jetty. If you are traveling from Kolkata, it will take approximately 3 hours to reach the jetty. Once there, you will board the houseboat, and within half an hour, our journey will begin.
As we sail through the canals and rivers, we will serve you breakfast and provide you with the lunch menu for the day. During the Sundarban Ilish Utsav 2023, we will treat you to the best of Bengali cuisine, featuring a variety of Hilsa dishes. You can savor delights like Ilish Paturi, Kochu Shak Ilish, Ilish Varta, Ilish Begun, Ilish Tel Jhol, Sorshe Ilish, and many more. In addition to Hilsa, we also offer various authentic Bengali fish items on board. For instance, if you’re keen to try freshly caught prawns in Sundarban, we have those available as well.
As you choose your lunch, we’ll give you some time to enjoy the beauty of Sundarban. We will sail towards the Sajnekhali Watch Tower, where you can visit the Sundarban National Park, forest, crocodile park, and mangrove forest. On our way back to the houseboat, you will be served lunch. We are confident that you will thoroughly enjoy our delectable offerings. After lunch, we will visit other watch towers in Sundarban. Along the way, you will be provided with evening snacks and beverages. And the night’s menu will be surprise from us. However, if you have any specific requests, feel free to discuss them with us, and we will do our best to accommodate them.
On the next day, we will start the day by serving you the beverage of your choice as you enjoy the fresh morning breeze of Sundarban. The second day is left for you to explore the Sundarban on your own. After breakfast, you can visit local villages and purchase local artifacts such as bamboo items, fresh honey, and souvenirs of your choice. You can also buy freshly caught Hilsa or any other fish from local fishermen. You can either bring the fish to us, and we will cook it for you, or you can have it cooked by the villagers. As the sun begins to set, you will board the houseboat to return to your home. On the way back, we will take immense care to ensure your safe return.
